We booked Pearl Sands Maldives on Expedia for 170USD/night – last minute price. It was a wonderful experience the two days and one night we stayed there. In a lot of ways – this might be a good or bad thing depending on how you view it – it reminded us of Bali except the beaches were unmistakably Maldivian. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the food served at the restaurant was good. The 50-minute massage I had was very good too. The bikini beach and sand spit out front was a great way to spend mornings. They do not have a speedboat service but this is easily circumvented by the ferry to Huraa Island which operates three times a day and only costs 10USD, a mere fraction of what hotels will charge you for a private speedboat ride. We highly recommend this place for travellers to the Maldives who might be put off by what the bigger resorts are charging.

both staff and hotel and breakfast and lunch and dinner and Maldives were perfect. We visited Pearl Sands 2 times,and want to go every year. Only thing they can be improve that for children there is no play ground, maybe if they put small play ground somewhere, the families that come with children will be more happy 🙂

Unforgettable Vacation! Great Staff, helpfull people.Anything you need can ask it and the staff are always there to satisfied all your needs!
The food at the restaurant was more than 5 stars!

I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend and it was beautiful. It’s an easy 25-30 minute speedboat ride from the airport (you can either pay for a private transfer at $45 per person each way or book the local speedboat for $10 pp – great value!). The hotel is situated down the far end on a local island in a peaceful area with its own beautiful private beach. There’s a dive centre and spa on site and it’s all very easy to book. The manager and staff at the hotel deserve special mention. Unfortunately I was ill during my visit and they were all really helpful and caring (going out to buy 100 Plus for me was very much appreciated!). Thank you very much, Pearl Sands, I will definitely be back!
